We’re a real mutual at British Friendly – and have been since 1902- with all our customers becoming equal members when they join. We provide affordable Income Protection for as many people as possible – even those who are typically hard to insure. We are driven by our commitment to paying our members claims. That’s why we’ve paid 96.7% of all claims over the last 12 years and 92.4% of all claims in 2017, which means you can recommend us to your clients with confidence.

Because our members are at the heart of all we do, we created our discretionary Mutual Benefits programme in 2017. Mutual Benefits is one of the ways we are returning value back to our members, bringing their membership to life whether they claim or not.
